SAD.

i must be crazy to blog here when there's so much psych to do. but this bit reminded me of alaska..

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a
mood disorder that is caused by the body's reaction to low levels of light
present in the winter months.

What happens in SAD is simple. In some
people, especially those who live in nothern climates
where winter is long and the days are very short, the biological clock that is
controlled by the suprachiasmatic nucleus gets out of "step". This can cause
feelings of tiredness, lack of energy, and daytime sleepiness that the mind
interprets as depression. Other symptoms include excessive eating, a
craving for sugary and starchy foods, excessive sleeping and weight
gain
.
horror! panic! stress! the good news though is..

The worst months for SAD are January and February, and
true, SAD disappears in the spring and summer.

heh :) i'm still blaming it if i come back fat tho..
