GPBACSYA!!!!
we finally have internet!!
but, although we have hundreds of photos, we can't upload them onto our blog:( eunice will explain in tech terms
er. hahahah tech terms?!?! well it's cos of bandwith and they want to make sure we dont overuse it cos apparently those people last season billed up a 1000 dollars! :O we even had a video of our house to show you :( so i am really rather upset that all we can do is type.
but we will try to find a place where we will PAY to upload all those things. :)
anyway, tok is a really homely place. at first sight, you would think that it's a really um loser town. hahaha. it looks deserted, rundown, brown, grey. but look a little closer and you'll find lovely lovely people and inside these "deserted, rundown, brown and grey" buildings are lots of little treasures! :)
to add on to the description, the vegetation here is all an.. uncomfortable shade of green. like>.<>
ok backtrack to the journey here. it was a bumpy 4hour ride from fairbanks to tok in a rundown, dirty and packed vanlike car thingy. hahah. but the view...it was AWESOME. seriously. the mountains were gorgeous!!! [GPBACSYA] anyway. i have decided, that the mountains alone are worth the long plane rides and everything we have endured. that beautiful. :)
and, we MAY be planning a trip to taipei:) hahaha.. after all this working here, a REAL stayover in taipei!!! not a transit:) cos we kind of like that place. haha:) and our house has a functional kitchen, in which i have cooked 3 times, with NEW utensils and appliances:):) [GPBACSYA!!] this kitchen is in the middle of the house, and also happens to be where we socialise, and go crazy when we are very sick of work. hahahaha:) (and where we snack at the weirdest times)
haha. hmm what else. the people here take care of us really well :) they provide us more and better things than we ever expected. (our house is really pretty and new albeit small) we even have a washing machine and DRYER! aw man i really really wish we could upload that video we took. haha. anyway they other four singaporean girls are really nice and comfortable company. work wise. i've worked once, shiwen twice. and um. hahah the first time we worked, we were paired together. and we cleaned a total of three rooms. (which is seriously pathetic) when the hotel opens, we have to clean SIXTEEN! EACH. haha but of course what we're doing now is setting up which is much more tedious and time-consuming.
to explain things a bit, we are 'setting up' cos this hotel is closed every winter! cos it's WAY TOO COLD. imagine there still being ice on the ground in parts of the hotel now, in may. [GPBACSYA!!!]
ok well since we now have a steady source of internet, we can update this more often and more coherently. without photos tho cos GPBACSYA!!! but yeah. so we'll end off here for now! missing everyone tons and tons!
